***We have Westies arriving into rescue, including Wendy, a 4-year-old female Westie who recently joined Wag N’ Train Terrier Rescue.***

Wendy has just arrived and is beginning her journey with rescue. She will be posted for adoption once her veterinary care is complete and we have had time to learn more about her personality, needs, and ideal forever home.

Westies are spirited, intelligent, affectionate little terriers with big personalities. They are known for being loyal companions, but they can also be independent, determined, and full of classic terrier confidence. The best homes for Westies are prepared for a fun, active small dog who enjoys structure, routine, and positive guidance.

Wendy is a 4-year-old female Westie who recently arrived in rescue. She is not yet available for adoption while she completes her vetting and evaluation period. Once she is ready, her full adoption profile will be posted with more details about her temperament, needs, and adoption requirements.

Westies are very popular, and approved applications are reviewed before dogs are officially posted. • Willingness to continue training, structure, and positive reinforcement

• Applicants should be ready to travel to Omaha if approved

Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption of a specific dog, but it allows us to begin the review process and match approved adopters with the Westie who best fits their home, lifestyle, and experience.

Adoption donations vary by dog. Funds go towards the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.

Wag N’ Train Terrier Rescue adopts nationally (contiguous 48 states) if a local volunteer performs a home visit. Approved adopters must travel to Omaha to pick up their dog — no transport services.

Invisible/underground fencing does not qualify as secure.

We only process applications that meet baseline criteria for each foster dog, as listed in the Additional Details.
