Meet Wicket: A Loving, Shy Girl Who Just Wants to Be Close

***Wicket is a very sweet, loving, and shy girl who adores pets, kisses, and lots of lap time.***

Wicket came to rescue from a commercial breeding facility and is learning what it means to be a cherished companion. She is gentle and affectionate, but she thrives best in a calm home where her people are around most of the day. She does not like being left alone for long, and she wants to be near her person as much as possible.

Wicket’s Best Traits:
Wicket loves attention and closeness—she’s a champion snuggler and will happily soak up pets and give kisses. She also enjoys being outside to sniff and will follow her foster siblings around the yard.

Crate & Night Routine:
Wicket does not like being crated during the day, but she will sleep in a crate at night when it’s set up right—her crate is elevated next to the bed so she can feel close, and she sleeps through the night quietly.

Dogs, Food & Toys:
Wicket likes other dogs, but she needs a little structure around mealtimes and toy time. She does best when fed separately, and toy play should be supervised (especially with dogs who might steal toys).

Potty Training:
She is doing very well with potty training and will continue to succeed with a consistent potty schedule.

The Right Home for Wicket:
• Calm home with someone home most of the day
• Patient adopter with rescue-dog experience preferred
• Securely fenced yard required (no invisible/underground fencing)
• Can live with other dogs (with feeding separately and supervised toy time) or can be an only dog
• Commitment to routine and continued potty-training success

Wicket is a truly sweet girl who just wants to be loved. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who wants to be close and will reward your kindness with devotion, Wicket may be your perfect match.
